1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup toasted and chopped pecans
180g semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

180g semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt
Beat the butter or margarine, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until light and fluffy
Add the flour mixture, mixing until well combined
Stir in the pecans and chocolate chunks
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheets, leaving 3cm of space between each cookie
Bake in a moderate oven on the top rack for 8 minutes or until golden brown
Remove from the baking sheet and let cool.
