Cream the butter until smooth

Add the egg, water, and vanilla extract
Beat for 5 minutes more

Combine the flour and yeast
Continue beating until well combined

When the dough is homogeneous, add the food coloring (if using) and beat for another 5 minutes

Add the desiccated coconut and mix until small balls form
