1/2 cup unsalted butter or margarine (120 g)
1 cup granulated sugar (180 g)
1 tablespoon grated orange zest (5 g)
1 well-beaten egg (65 g)
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (540 g)
4 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice (60 g)
2 teaspoons active dry yeast (10 g)

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (540 g)
4 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice (60 g)
2 teaspoons active dry yeast (10 g)
Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth
Add in the grated orange zest, egg, and mix well
Add in the orange juice and mix thoroughly
Finally, add in the flour with yeast and knead by hand
Roll out on a floured surface to desired shape
Bake in a moderate oven preheated to 180°C until lightly golden
Dust with glaze (see recipe)
