3 egg whites
1/2 cup (about) of sugar
1 pinch of salt
1/2 cup (about) of all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (about) of melted butter
1 tablespoon (about) of almond extract

Beat the egg whites until frothy
Add the sugar, salt, and mix well
Add the flour, butter, and almond extract, and mix well
Mix thoroughly
Bake in a medium oven for 8 minutes, six at a time, leaving 3/4 inch between each biscuit
When golden brown, bake for another 6 minutes to finish the batch
Let cool, then remove from baking sheet while still pliable (don't try to bend them while hot, they'll break!)
Place each biscuit on the palm of your hand, add a message in the center, and fold in half
Fold in half again and let cool
If they become hard before folding, bake for another minute.
