Beat the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla thoroughly
Add the flour and chopped nuts or hazelnuts well combined
Divide the dough into three equal parts
With each part, shape a roll 3 cm in diameter and 17.5 cm long
Wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours
Preheat the oven to 200° (hot)
Cut into slices, place on an ungreased baking sheet
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden
Remove immediately from the baking sheet.
