1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Add the egg and vanilla extract
Beat in medium speed for 2 minutes
Sift together the flour and yeast
Add the creamy mixture, mixing well and refrigerate
Mix in the chopped nuts or pecans, cinnamon, and baking powder
Shape into nut-sized balls and roll each one in the nut mixture
Place on a greased baking sheet, leaving space between each biscuit
Bake at moderate temperature (170°C) for 12 to 15 minutes
Remove from oven and let cool in a tray
Yield: About 20 biscuits.
