1 cup of wheat flour
100 g (1 tablet) of butter
2 tablespoons of water
1 cup of wheat flour
100 g (1 tablet) of butter
2 tablespoons of water
Mix these ingredients together to form a homogeneous ball, but don't overwork it
Divide the dough into two equal parts
On an ungreased tray, place the two pieces, and with your hands, gently stretch the dough to about 30 cm in length each
Leave at least 8 cm of distance between the two pieces
In a separate pot, heat 1 cup of water with 100 g (1 tablet) of butter until it melts
Remove from heat
Add 1 tablespoon of almond essence and 3 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
Place the filling over the dough on the tray, covering both pieces evenly, and bake in a medium oven for about 1 hour
After baking, let it cool slightly before spreading a glaze made with 1 cup of powdered sugar and a little hot milk over the top
Serve warm
The glaze is essential as the original dough doesn't contain any sweetener.
