Sift the flour with yeast and salt
Mix in the butter or margarina, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until a creamy mixture forms
Add the dry flour mixture
Mix well
Refrigerate for 2 hours
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thin sheet
Cut into desired shapes using biscuit cutters
Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 1 cm of space between them
Brush with a beaten egg diluted with a little water
Bake in a hot oven for 6-8 minutes, until golden brown but not burnt.
