In a stand mixer, beat the butter until it's light and fluffy
Add the confectioner's sugar and continue beating
Add the egg, salt, and almonds, and mix until smooth
Gradually add the flour and mix until a uniform dough forms

Preheat the oven to medium temperature
On a lightly floured surface, roll out small portions of the dough with a rolling pin

Create a design on paper about 6 cm high using a pastry bag or sharp knife
Cut out the biscuits and arrange them in a single layer

Carefully place half a skewer at the bottom of each biscuit, drawing a cross
If desired, add additional details with the skewer

Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes or until lightly golden brown
Remove from the oven and let cool completely
