Make small cuts on the edges of each steak to prevent it from curling up after frying
Season with half the lemon juice, pepper, and salt
Dip the sliced onions in the remaining lemon juice to prevent them from browning
Heat a skillet over high heat with half the butter
Fry the steaks until both sides are nicely browned
Add water, lower the heat, cover, and cook until the meat is tender
Add more water if necessary
In another skillet, sauté the mushrooms and onions in the remaining butter for 2 minutes
Add honey and bourbon
As it simmers, stir and add the steaks with the cooking broth
Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
