Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C)
Cut the onion into 3.5 cm thick slices, vertically, but do not separate the slices
Mix well the remaining ingredients and spread them between the onion slices
Wrap the onion in aluminum foil, pressing it tightly
Bake until the cheese is melted and the onion is tender (about 20 minutes)
Let it rest for 10 minutes.
