1 1/2 teaspoons of dried oregano

Soak the cod in enough water to cover, changing it several times, for 24 hours
Drain
Cook the cod for about 25 minutes or until it's cooked through
Drain and pass under cold running water
Remove some skin or bones that may be present
Blend using a food processor or blender
Mix in the eggs, milk, flour, yeast, and mix well
Beat everything together if using a processor or liquidizer
Transfer to a bowl and add the onion, ginger, pepper, oregano, and rice
Heat the oil and fry the batter by spoonfuls until golden brown
Drain on paper towels and serve warm
