1 cup softened butter or margarine

Beat the butter or margarine gradually, then add the confectioner's sugar and vanilla extract
Add the flour and finally the grated coconut
Shape into balls of 2.5 cm
Place on an ungreased baking sheet
Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes
To bake: Preheat the oven and bake the balls at moderate heat for 15 minutes
While still warm, roll in confectioner's sugar
Allow to cool for approximately 4 days
