Mold the dough for sweet balls
Shape 8 sweet balls, placing 2 to 3 grapes, 1 cube or 1 tablespoon of sugar inside each one
Close the sweet balls tightly and cook them in simmering water with salt for about 8 minutes
Remove with a slotted spoon
While the sweet balls are cooking, prepare the sauce: melt the sugar until it turns golden
Add butter or margarine, chopped almonds or hazelnuts, and heavy cream; mix until you get a uniform sauce
Place the still-warm sweet balls on a plate
Open them slightly with the help of two forks and pour in the sauce
