3 cups whole milk
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 cup heavy cream
3 eggs, separated
100g Marie biscuits
3 ripe bananas, sliced

Bring the milk to almost a boil
In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2/3 cup heavy cream
Slowly add the hot milk, stirring constantly
Reduce heat and cook, stirring continuously, until thickened
In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites
Add some of the warm mixture to the egg whites, mix well, and then add it to the remaining mixture in the pan
Cook for a few more minutes, stirring constantly
Let it cool slightly
Preheat oven to medium temperature
In a refractory form, arrange alternating layers of biscuits, banana, and sauce, finishing with the sauce
Set aside
Beat the egg whites until stiff and then gradually add the remaining heavy cream, beating until a meringue forms
Distribute over the mass
Bake in low temperature oven until lightly browned
Serve warm.
