200g unsalted butter or margarine
5 eggs
250g grated carrots
250g all-purpose flour
200g unsalted butter or margarine
5 eggs
250g grated carrots
250g all-purpose flour
Beat the butter or margarine until creamy
Continue beating
Add the eggs, one at a time, and the grated carrots gradually
Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix everything well together
To make the cake as shown in the photo, three recipes were baked
The cake is 35cm in diameter
The top part of the cake can be baked in a conical shape, but if you don't have one, you can bake it in a common pan and cut it to the desired shape
To keep the cut parts in place, prepare the following glaze: 1 egg white beaten
Add enough confectioner's sugar to form a thick paste
Cover the entire cake with this glaze
Let it dry while preparing the second glaze, which will give the 'finish' to the cake: Beat 4 egg whites until fluffy
Add confectioner's sugar until the glaze becomes firm and doesn't stick to your hands
Divide the glaze into several parts and color them with red, yellow, and pink using special food dyes
Place the cake on a wooden base sprinkled with grated carrot and cinnamon
Place small roundels around the wooden base
These roundels should hold the string from the 'circus tent' above
Wrap the roundels in aluminum foil
YELLOW BALLOONS WITH CANDLES
These balloons are made of melon slices covered with yellow glaze
CHOCOLATE BALLOONS
These are made of two melon slices with chocolate and waffle, which can be found at Kopenhagen stores
The melon slices and waffle are attached with the cake glaze from the previous page; the eyes, nose, and mouth are also made with glaze or gelatin.
