3/4 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
125g unsalted butter or margarine
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup warm water
3/4 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon white vinegar

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
125g unsalted butter or margarine
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup warm water
Combine milk and vinegar
Pulse flour and salt together
Gradually add sugar, butter or margarine, beating well
Beat in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
Add vanilla extract to the milk mixture
Alternate adding flour and chocolate mixture, mixing very well
Combine baking soda with melted dark chocolate and warm water
Fold into the previous mixture
Mix well
Pour into two 20cm-diameter pans
Bake in a moderate oven for 30-35 minutes
To cover and fill, melt chocolate for coating.
