For the batter
2 cups all-purpose flour - 300g
1/2 cup cocoa powder - 45g
1 cup unsalted butter or margarine - 240g
4 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar - 180g
1 tablespoon baking powder - 12g
1 cup milk - 240ml
For the glaze
1 cup cocoa powder - 90g
2 and 2/3 cups milk - 210g
2/3 cup water - 160ml
2/3 cup unsalted butter or margarine - 160g
2/3 cup granulated sugar - 120g
For the batter

For the glaze
1 cup cocoa powder - 90g
2 and 2/3 cups milk - 210g
2/3 cup water - 160ml
2/3 cup unsalted butter or margarine - 160g
2/3 cup granulated sugar - 120g
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the batter ingredients
Bake everything very well
Spread the batter into two greased 20cm diameter cake pans
Bake in a preheated oven (200°C) for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean
Remove from the oven and let cool
Mix all the glaze ingredients until smooth
Pour some of the glaze over one cake
Place the other cake on top and cover with the remaining glaze
Serves 12 slices
