1/2 cup of butter or margarine, at room temperature

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of plain yogurt
2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of seedless raisins

Beat the butter in a large bowl until creamy
Add the brown sugar and beat well
Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well
Add the yogurt and mix until combined
Sift together the flour, spices, baking soda, and salt
Combine with the yogurt mixture
Add the raisins and mix everything well
Pour into a small, round cake pan, 25 cm in diameter, and bake at moderate heat (180°C) for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
