In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until they are well mixed
In another bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and sift them
Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix well
Add the melted butter or margarine
Pour into a greased and floured 20 cm diameter cake pan
Bake in a hot oven (200°C) for 30 minutes or until, when you insert a toothpick, it comes out clean
Serve warm.
