Beat the sugar and butter until light and fluffy
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
Add the milk and beat until well combined
Combine the flour, baking powder, and beat until smooth
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well
Pour into a prepared cake pan and bake in a medium preheated oven.
