3 tablets of bittersweet chocolate

2 cups scalded milk
5 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler
Mix the flour with the all-purpose flour and add to the chocolate, stirring constantly
Add the scalded milk gradually, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens
Beat the egg yolks in a bowl, then stir in some of the whipped cream and return to the pan with the rest of the cream, and mix well
Cook over low heat for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly until it thickens
Remove from heat, add the butter or margarine, and stir until melted
Add the vanilla extract and stir well
Pour into a glass bowl or ramekins, let cool, and refrigerate
Serve with whipped cream or chantilly cream
If desired, sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts
Garnish with half a pear in a tin foil wrapper, or serve with banana slices
