3/4 cup of softened butter or margarine (180 g)
1 1/2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
zest from 1 orange, grated
3 cups of flour
4 spoons (tablespoons) of baking powder
1/2 spoon (teaspoon) of salt
1/2 cup of orange juice
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1/2 cup of water

Preheat the oven
Cream the butter in a bowl until smooth with a wooden spoon
Gradually add the sugar, beating well until it's fluffy
Add the eggs one at a time, beating (if one arm gets tired, try the other)
Grate the zest from 1 orange over the egg mixture
Mix the water, orange juice, and lemon juice in another bowl
In yet another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt
Combine some of this mixture with the wet ingredients
Mix well
Add a little liquid and mix again
Continue adding flour and liquid until they're used up
Then, pour into a rectangular baking dish greased and bake in a moderate oven for about 30 minutes.
