Ingredients: 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour; 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast; 1/2 teaspoon of salt; 1/2 cup of butter or margarine, melted; 1 cup of milk; 3 large eggs; 1 1/2 cups of sugar; 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Directions

Sift the flour, yeast, and salt into a bowl

Pulse the remaining ingredients in a blender until smooth

Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well

Divide the batter evenly between two 9-inch round cake pans that have been greased and floured

Bake in a preheated moderate oven (170°C) for about 35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Let cool, then fill and serve as desired.
