3 cups of fresh strawberries

1/2 cup of butter or margarine
6 to 8 tablespoons of milk
1 tablespoon of melted butter
1/2 cup of whipped cream

Wash the strawberries
Remove the stems and cut into pieces
Sprinkle with sugar and let sit at room temperature while the cake bakes
For the cake, mix together flour and baking powder
Add the margarine to the pieces, add milk enough to open up the dough
Divide into two parts, one slightly larger than the other
Open up the larger part to fit a 20 cm diameter mold, covering the bottom
Open up the second part in a circle of 20 cm diameter
Brush the surface of both parts with melted butter
Place one on top of the other
Bake in a hot oven for approximately 15 minutes, until golden brown
Using a spatula, remove the top circle
Let everything cool down
Place the strawberries with their juice at the bottom of the dough
Then, whip the cream and spread over the strawberries
Cover with the top part
Serve immediately.
