Mix well the oil, honey, eggs, vanilla extract, and yogurt in a large bowl
Add the baking soda and mix well
Add the whole wheat flour and mix well
Add the chopped walnuts or pecans and mix again
Wash the date, cut it in half lengthwise, remove the seeds but do not peel, and add to the mixture
Cut the date into small cubes and add to the batter
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured 23x35cm baking dish
Bake in a moderate oven at (170°C) for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until done
Serves 6-8 people.
