Heat the milk and butter in a saucepan until the butter has melted. Reserve
Beat the eggs with sugar until light and fluffy
Add the milk mixture and flour, alternating with small amounts each time
Beat well
Add baking powder and beat rapidly
Place the dough in two prepared pans, one round (34.5 cm) and one rectangular (26 x 40 cm)
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) until the cakes are golden and when a toothpick is inserted, it comes out clean
Remove from pans
Let cool
Place one cake on top of the other, making a rectangular shape fit inside the round cake mold
Put the comet-shaped mold over the cake and trim
Finish the cake's tips with small amounts of dough, uniting them with icing
Cover the entire cake with icing and decorate with silver candies of various sizes
Place the decorated cake on a blue glitter tablecloth
Cut around the cake to remove excess paper and re-decorate with silver candies
