Melted butter for greasing
For the dough: 4 large eggs, 1 cup of sugar, 1/3 cup of melted unsalted butter, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 cup of candied fruit pieces
For the icing and topping: 200g of milk chocolate, 1/2 cup of unsalted butter at room temperature, Candied fruit or cherries for decorating

Grease a 19cm deep cake pan with melted butter
Set aside
Prepare the dough: In a stand mixer, beat the eggs and sugar on low speed until light and fluffy
Add the melted butter, flour, dark chocolate chips, and baking powder
Beat until smooth
Divide the dough in half
Place one half in the prepared pan
Spread candied fruit pieces over the dough
Top with the remaining dough
Bake at high power in a microwave for 7 minutes
Let the cake rest for 1 minute before removing it from the oven
Let it cool completely
Use a sharp knife to cut around the edges and release the cake from the pan
Icing and topping: Melt the milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl at high power for 3 minutes
Remove and mix well
Add the unsalted butter and mix until smooth
Set aside
Assemble the cake: Divide the cooled cake into three layers
Place one layer on a plate, spread some of the icing over it, and repeat twice more
Top with the remaining icing
Decorate with candied fruit or cherries
Serve at room temperature.
