In a blender, cream together the butter, sugar, eggs, water, cocoa powder, flour, and salt until well combined
Add the chopped nuts
Grease an 8-inch square baking dish and line with parchment paper
Pour in the brownie mixture and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Remove from oven and let cool completely
Cut into three rectangles
In a freezer-safe container, layer the brownies with scoops of slightly softened ice cream, starting and ending with a layer of ice cream
Place in the freezer for at least one hour
Unmold and serve with fruit sauce, if desired.
