1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips, chopped
1/2 cup chopped pecans or hazelnuts

Whisk together: flour, yeast, 1 cup granulated sugar, and 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Add butter or margarine, 2 eggs, and the egg yolk
Beat with a wooden spoon or electric mixer on low speed
Pour into a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish
Spread evenly with an offset spatula
Beat the egg white until frothy and brush over the batter
Mix in the remaining granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, chocolate chips, and nuts
Sprinkle on top
Bake in a moderate oven (325°F) for 25 minutes
Let cool before cutting into squares.
