1/2 cup chopped walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts toasted

Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (170°C)
Grease a baking dish of 18 x 25.5 cm
Sift together flour, chocolate chips, and salt
Beat butter or margarine with granulated sugar until smooth
Add eggs and vanilla extract, beating well
Gradually add the sifted flour mixture, mixing well
Fold in chopped nuts
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish
Smooth the top
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Let cool in the pan for 30 minutes
Cut into squares
Cut into 16 squares of 5 cm each.
