To make the dough: Mix 2 tablets of baking powder (30g) with 1/4 cup of warm water, 1/3 cup of melted butter, 3/4 cup of hot milk, 1/3 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of salt, 2 eggs, and 4 to 4 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

Let it rest for 40 minutes
While that's resting, make the filling: In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened
Remove from heat and let it cool
Roll out the dough into a rectangle measuring 30x65 cm
Spread the filling over half of the dough, along the length (the longer side)
Fold the other half of the dough over the filled portion and cut into strips 2.5 cm wide
Twist each strip three or four times and secure one end
Wrap like a snail, securing the other end at the bottom
Place on a greased baking sheet and let it rise for 50 minutes
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) preheated to 15 minutes or until golden brown
Let it cool
Make the topping: Combine the water with the confectioner's sugar
Mix well
Use a spoon to apply a small amount of the topping over each pastry
