1 cup maca, well chopped - 120 g
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Melt the butter or margarine with the chocolate over low heat
Beat the eggs until they are light and fluffy
Add the all-purpose flour gradually, beating always
Combine the chocolate mixture and the butter mixture
Beat well for 1 minute
Add the flour and baking powder
Mix well
Add the nuts, maca, and vanilla extract
Mix well
Pour into a small baking dish of approximately 20 x 30 cm
Bake in a moderate oven preheated to 180°C for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Let cool
Cut into squares to serve
Yields 18 brownie squares.
