Brown the ground beef with salt and pepper, rosemary, chopped onion, and parsley in a tablespoon of olive oil
Cut the tomatoes into slices, leaving 4 that should be cut only halfway (to decorate)
Cut the cheese into small cubes and layer alternating layers of cheese, ground beef, mushrooms, and tomatoes in a greased baking dish
Season each layer with salt and pepper
Place the tomato halves around the prepared baking dish
Beat the eggs with milk and season with salt and pepper
Pour over the prepared baking dish and bake in a moderate oven for about 45 minutes
