1/2 cup finely chopped onion
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
to taste pepper
about 1 kg meat (lizard, tenderloin, or brisket)
2 tablespoons mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
some red pepper sauce
1 packet onion soup mix
2 cups water
1/2 cup finely chopped onion

2 cups water
Fry the onion in hot olive oil until softened
Mix together flour, salt, and pepper
Rub this mixture all over the meat
Brown the meat on all sides in the same pan
Add mustard, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper sauce, onion soup mix, and water
Cook slowly for about two hours or until the meat is tender
Remove the meat and place it on a serving plate
Remove excess fat from the gravy and thicken if desired with a little flour dissolved in hot water
Serves 4-6 people
Note: If needed, add more hot water during cooking to keep the meat moist
