Peel the onions, leaving the root intact
At one end, cut a slice and use a spoon to remove the onion's core
Set aside
Mix the thyme, black pepper, salt, and nutmeg together
Stuff the onions with this mixture and wrap them in aluminum foil
Roast them in a medium oven preheated for 40 minutes, or until they are tender
