Make a thick cream by beating the eggs with sugar and adding hot milk, cornstarch, and Cointreau
Then, fill a high mold greased with butter, with three slices of stale bread quickly soaked in some milk
Pour one cup of chopped fruit and a good layer of cream on top
Place another three slices of bread on the cream, the fruit, and another layer of cream
Finish with three slices of bread, dust it with plenty of sugar, and put some little pieces of butter or margarine on top
Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes
Remove, let it cool, and unmold carefully
Cover with the remaining cream.
