In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk and flour
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and bubbles
Let cool for 1 hour
Add the vanilla extract
Whisk together the sugar, butter or margarine, and eggs until smooth and creamy
Gradually add the cooled milk mixture, whisking well
Use to fill and top a cake with a diameter of 22 cm.
