How to Fry an Egg

How to Fry an Egg

  • 1

    Star-shaped eggs

  • 2

Butter a small individual container and prepare it for frying an egg. This prevents the whites from spreading out and drying up. Before cooking, gently pierce the shell of both the yolk and white several times using a toothpick. In high power (high), 1 egg takes approximately 40-60 seconds to fry; 2 eggs (each in its own container) take about 1 minute, 1 1/4 minutes. The waiting time is always 1 minute.

  • 3

Mixed eggs and omelette: the process is the same, except for preparing an omelette, where you need to mix the yolks and whites until they're homogeneous. To make the eggs more flavorful, add melted butter in milk and salt to taste. Mix again and cook on high power, following these times:

  • 4

2 eggs, 1 tablespoon of butter, 2 tablespoons of milk: 1 1/2 minutes to 2 minutes.

  • 5

    4 eggs, 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter, 2 1/2 tablespoons of milk: 2-4 minutes.

  • 6

Once the eggs start to firm up on the outside, halfway through cooking time, lightly shake the center of each plate. Once removed from the oven, the eggs are still slightly warm. Therefore, wait for 1-4 minutes.

  • 7

Poached eggs: mix 1/2 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and distribute in 4 individual cups. Place in the oven at high power for 1-2 minutes (until the water boils), then add an egg to each cup, pierce the yolks and whites with a toothpick, cover with lids, and arrange in a circular shape on the plate or tray. Reduce to medium-high power and cook for 1-2 minutes. This is sufficient time for the white to lose its transparency and the yolk to become firm.
