Cut the sweet potatoes into cubes
Place them in a saucepan, add the cinnamon, cloves, and sugar
Put it in a low oven
Let it cook for about 35 minutes, or until the liquid is reduced to a syrupy consistency
Let it cool and pour into a compote dish
It can be served at room temperature or chilled.
