12 mini pears or 6 normal pears
Juice of 1/2 lemon
3 cups (heaping) of water
2 cups (heaping) of sugar
4 tablespoons of cranberry

Peel the pears, but leave the cores
Mash the fruit with the lemon juice
In a pot, mix together the water, sugar, and cranberry
Let it simmer for 20 minutes
Add the pears and cook for another 10 minutes
Let it cool and put the compote in a serving dish.
