1 cup almonds

1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts or pecans
1/2 cup or more 1 tablespoon honey or Karo
zest of 1 orange, grated
2 tablespoons orange liqueur (Curaçao, Grand Marnier, or Cointreau)

Mix the almonds, oats, and hazelnuts in a skillet without adding fat
Transfer to a bowl and let cool slightly
Add remaining ingredients and mix well
With slightly damp hands, shape into balls (1/2 tablespoon each) and let air dry
Place in paper cups and arrange in gift boxes for presentation
Note: this recipe can be made 1 week in advance
