Wash the Brussels sprouts thoroughly and drain
Melt the butter or margarine in a large saucepan and add the Brussels sprouts and hot water
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the Brussels sprouts are tender
Add heavy cream, salt, garlic, MSG, pepper, and stir well
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly
Serve with roasted meats
