Slice the onion into rounds
Fry it with the meat in olive oil
Add the sauerkraut and let it simmer well
Add the water and chopped green pepper
Cover and cook for about 30 minutes, until the meat is tender
Add all the seasonings and stir well
If you can't find sauerkraut, use a small, finely chopped cabbage instead.
