1 kg of beef
4 tablespoons of butter
8 small white onions - 140 g
3/4 cup of tomato extract
2 cups of water - 480 ml
2 peeled and cubed carrots - 130 g
2 peeled and cubed potatoes - 260 g
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Cut the beef into cubes and brown it on all sides with butter or margarine
Remove the beef
Add the onions and fry until they are browned
Remove the onions
Add the tomato extract and water
Let it come to a boil, then add the beef and onions again
Cover the pot and cook slowly for about 2 hours
Add the carrots, potatoes, salt, black pepper, and cinnamon
Cover and cook for another 30 minutes or until the beef and vegetables are cooked through
Serve in 4 portions.
