Prepare the cream according to the basic recipe
In a saucepan, mix the sugar with water
Heat it and cook until the sugar dissolves and becomes golden brown
Pour some of the syrup into each of the 1/2 cup capacity refractory molds and fill with vanilla cream
Place in a baking dish and bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for about 50 minutes or until firm
Remove the molds from the baking dish, let it cool, and refrigerate
Serve chilled.
