Combine in a saucepan the sugar, cornstarch, and eggs
Add the milk slowly, stirring well
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to simmer
Continue cooking for 1 minute, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract
Cover and refrigerate
To make the whipped cream, beat the egg whites until frothy, gradually add the sugar, beating continuously, and finally mix well
Pour the chocolate cream into cups or glasses and top with the whipped cream
Serve chilled.
