1 liter of chicken broth
1 cup (small) of fresh heavy cream
1 cup (small) of broccoli stems
1 cup (small) of broccoli florets
Salt and black pepper to taste

In a pot with boiling water, cook the broccoli stems until they become al dente, or tender but still firm
Then, drain them
Transfer the broccoli to a blender and add half of the chicken broth
Blend until smooth and pour into a pot
Add the remaining chicken broth and let it simmer for five minutes
Add the heavy cream and cook on low heat without letting it boil for three minutes
Add the broccoli florets and cook for an additional two minutes
Adjust the seasoning and serve immediately.
