Place the cold milk in a blender and sprinkle with gelatin
Let it sit for a few minutes to soften
Add the hot milk, blend until the gelatin is dissolved
Add the egg, sugar, and chocolate
Blend until smooth and melted
Add the vanilla extract and heavy cream
Blend until combined
Blend on low speed, adding the ice cubes gradually, until all the ice is melted
Add the chopped nuts or hazelnuts
Blend just until they are finely chopped
Refrigerate for 10 minutes
If desired, garnish with whipped heavy cream
Serve at 8 portions.
