1/2 pound of okra, cut
1 1/2 cups of tomato juice
1 teaspoon of salt
a few drops of hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1/2 cup of water
400 grams of cooked and cleaned shrimp

In a pot, sauté the onion and garlic in butter or margarine for a few minutes
Add the bouillon tablets, tomatoes, okra, juice, and seasonings
Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes or until the okra is cooked
Mix the cornstarch with water, stir well, and add to the pot
Cook, stirring constantly, until the soup thickens slightly, and simmer for an additional 3 minutes
Add the shrimp and cook until they are warm and cozy
Serve hot over white rice in bowls or cups
